What we do


8848 training is about getting in great shape to handle lifes daily challenges or as a foundation on which to then specialise in your chosen sport. We use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and our own bodyweight to get stronger. We run, jump, row and skip rope to get fit.

This is done in a group setting with other like minded people under the watchful eye of a qualified coach who will guide and motivate you. Whether you want to lose weight, gain muscle or just improve your general health and fitness 8848 will get you there.

Every training session is different however there is a structure to what we do. Our goal is to improve your movement (flexibility), get you stronger and  make you fitter.

Step One

Your 8848 journey begins with a Free Intro session. This is an opportunity for you to see our facility, meet our Coaches and experience our unique community that we have at 8848. 

From here your journey will progress onto our Elements Program: 3 Personal Training sessions that you will do alone or in a small group. Youll learn to squat, press, deadlift, do pull ups and push ups and some elementary gymnastics exercises. This is also an opportunity for the Coach to see where your starting point is and to establish your progressions for certain movements. Youll learn how to make progressions in each movement from beginner to more advanced. 

Step Two

The Elements Program is our introductory handshake to 8848. Its like bootcamp with brains: you’ll learn new things every session, and then do a simple (but not easy) workout. We run this program to narrow the knowledge gap and allow a smooth and safe transition into our classes.

The Coaches are extremely well-educated, pleasant people who smile big while theyre motivating you. They care: they want you to find the passion for quality fitness training that theyve found. Our Elements Program is 3 x 60-minute Personal Training sessions geared to get you ready for 8848 and are scheduled to fit in with your busy schedule. The Elements Program is included in your first month membership.

Step Three

Hungry for more? Once you have completed the Elements Program then you are ready for our regular classes. These classes are held at a wide variety of times throughout the day and we are open 7 days a week (check the timetable page for more details). Once you’ve started we recommend that you train at least 3 times a week to get the most out of your training. For more information on our membership options please visit the pricing page.

8848 Youth Program is a training program designed to effectively teach strength and conditioning methodology to children aged 9 to 14 years old through age appropriate instruction and cueing.
